Unified Team

The Unified program is part of the Special Olympics Vision of a Unified Generation where kids with and without intellectual disabilities have equal opportunities to participate in the All-City League. Participants include anyone who has been identified as having an intellectual disability or closely related developmental disability by an Agency or professional. They are age 6 or older and train and compete in a Unified event as an athlete from their respective team. Unified team members may also have mobility limitations that don’t allow them to participate in their respective age groups.

Monona Swim and Dive provide Unified access through our Unified Team. Our Unified Team practices five times a week and competes in dual meets and the All-City Championship meet. They score points and earn ribbons along side their teammates.
