Practices

Practice is offered five days a week (a.m.) and four days a week (p.m). Team members are encouraged to practice with us at least three days a week. Swimming and diving is a great way to get and stay in shape. It builds upper and lower body strength as well as aerobic capacity, without joint stress. Swimming or diving is great for cross- training for all sports!  The more you practice, the better you’ll get.

Our coaches encourage attendance by making practice sessions fun. Reinforcing the link between effort and achievement is the keystone of our club philosophy. Anyone who improves their performance at a swim meet will receive a “Personal Best” pin. Team members who show a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are eligible to be a “Star of the Week”  in our weekly newsletter and on the website.

Practice Options for 10 & Unders: To provide for greater family scheduling flexibility, 10 & under swimmers are offered morning or afternoon practice times. Be sure to choose one option — either morning or afternoon — as your practice time for the entire summer season.

The Monona Swim and Dive Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers and divers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Monona Swim and Dive Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.
